Compensation: Please allow 4-6 weeks to receive compensation. You may receive it sooner, but during busy periods in the year it can take the full amount of time. We encourage you to sign up for direct deposit to receive compensation faster.
Shipping: Please request materials as far in advance of scheduling as possible and allow up to 2 weeks to receive materials. Inclement weather often delays FedEx deliveries.
Uploading Data: When scanning in your data to upload on the Field Examiner Portal, be sure to adjust your scanner settings to color and double check the scan for readability. Also upload all pages of all record forms. Any data uploaded that cannot be read or that is incomplete will be returned to you, delaying compensation.
Return Labels: If you need a return label, visit the Field Examiner Portal and click the link in the menu or the button beside your active subjects. For best results, drop off your materials at an official FedEx drop point.
Validity Studies: Test-retest, equivalency, concurrent, and clinical validity studies are available on the Field Examiner Portal. Here's a brief explanation of each type of study:
-
Test-retest studies involve administering the test twice with an intervening time period of approximately 2 weeks.
-
Equivalency studies usually a test-retest embedded in an equivalency study where you give both forms of the test. In this study, it's important to administer both forms at both the first testing (time 1) and at the second testing approximately 2 weeks later (time 2). It is also very important to counterbalance the order of administration of the alternate forms. That is, you might give Student 1 Form A first at time 1, then give Form B first at time 2. Then you should give Student 2 Form B first at time 1, then give Form A first at time 2.
-
Concurrent validity studies require data collection on the test in norming as well as a related test.
-
Clinical studies involve collecting data on examinees with diagnosed exceptionalities from any region, gender, race and ethnicity.
