Dear Artisans,
We're pleased to offer you our rare and tiny allocation of Pride Mountain Vineyards, an iconic winery with a micro-production normally sold to their faithful mailing list—not to retailers.
In 1991, the talents of founding winemaker Robert 'Bob' Foley (Paloma, Switchback Ridge, Hourglass, and School House) would make the world love and respect Spring Mountain and brawny Mountain fruit as a whole.
Jim and Carolyn Pride purchased the property in 1989; not far from other high-elevation icons like Smith-Madrone and Spring Mountain Vineyards. Climbing up to 2,100 feet above the valley floor, the Pride Mountain estate remains one of the most breathtaking in the country.
Their wines have proven to age beautifully and effortlessly for 20 years and probably longer. All of the decades we've tasted have blown us away.
Their Merlot destroys any preconceived notions about the grape—guaranteed. 14 bottles remain.
All my best,
—James Tran
