Relish Restaurant & Bar in River Oaks/ Upper Kirby District will launch Saturday brunch with a special menu incorporating breakfast items and classic lunch favorites, mimosa service, fresh pastries made in-house and a selection of distinct, brunch cocktails. The counter-service brunch will begin on November 25, the Saturday following Thanksgiving, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
In honor of the debut, every guest aged 21 and older who orders a meal during brunch on the day of the launch will receive a complimentary glass of champagne.
"We have so much to be grateful for as we celebrate Thanksgiving this year, including our one-year anniversary in our new location, and we felt it would be the perfect time to launch Saturday brunch and treat our guests to a glass of bubbly on the house," says owner Addie Teague. "We love being a gathering place for friends and neighbors during the holidays, where they can enjoy quality time over delicious meals. Everyone is invited -- even the family dog is welcome on our patio."
Brunch menu highlights include new dishes like boneless chicken and waffles with seasonal fruit, breakfast tacos, Belgian waffles, homemade biscuits and gravy, eggs-your-way and a featured quiche that changes seasonally. Relish's in-house pastry chefs, Valerie Stanley and Zach Sendukas, will roll out a variety of fresh-baked pastries from seasonal scones and muffins to irresistible cookies and cinnamon rolls.
A few lunch favorites are also offered, such as Relish's popular crispy chicken sandwich with house-made Relish pickles and tarragon ranch, a classic burger, and kale and Caesar salads. Smaller portions of Relish classics like hot dogs, grilled cheese and roasted turkey sandwiches with a choice of fruit or fries are also available for kids 12 and under.
Special brunch drink offerings include mimosa service, a Bloody Mary with mix made in-house, and the Relish 'Rita made with fresh lime juice and a chili salt rim. Relish also offers an endless cup of Joe for $2 and a full bar with a variety of beer, wine and bubbles.
The new brunch menu will be available from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. every Saturday beginning November 25. Full wait service will be offered for guests who sit at the bar. Relish also offers breakfast Monday through Friday from 7 - 11 a.m.
