Oxen Weekend at Coggeshall Farm Museum July 8-9!

Come visit Ned and Buster and learn about the farm!

BRISTOL, RIJuly is prime time to experience all that Coggeshall Farm Museum has to offer. On Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month, visitors can experience life on an 18th-century farm complete with farm animals, games, activities, and more!

Guests are in for a special treat the weekend of July 8 and 9, when Oxen Weekend takes place. Two Old Ayrshire oxen, Ned and Buster, will visit the farm for the weekend. Accompanied by their handlers, Jim and Bev Gould, they will offer rare demonstrations of the incredibly hard work done by oxen in farming.

Meet the oxen and visit our heritage breed pigs, chickens, sheep, and of course, farm cats. Stop by for a truly immersive experience of touring our historic farm buildings, walking the beautiful grounds, and playing games from the 1700s.

Ned and Buster will be visiting all day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This experience is included with standard admission to the Museum of $10 for adults or $5 for youth ages 4–17, or with a Coggeshall Farm Museum or Old Sturbridge Village membership. You won’t want to miss this unique opportunity. Purchase your tickets today!
