Feb 24: Board Member Tony Coleman visited NCCF to discuss working conditions of Custody Assistants, such as position assignments, mandated overtime and drafting. 
Meeting with Sergeants at PDC
Feb 25: Sergeants assigned to Pitchess Detention Center met with PPOA President Tab Rhodes on Monday afternoon to discuss issues related to the Dual Track process.
PPOA Delegates Meeting
Feb 25: PPOA delegates from units throughout the county gathered with union board and staff members in Burbank on Tuesday for the first delegates meeting of the year. Topics of discussion included endorsements, training, committees and much more. We are grateful to all of the delegates who joined us for this informative evening.
Meeting to Discuss Dual Track
Feb 26: PPOA hosted a meeting on Wednesday to continue discussions with the Sheriff's Department about the Dual Track process. Participants included President Rhodes, Board Members Carlos Marquez, Tony Romo and Ryan Vienna, as well as Assistant Sheriff Robin Limon, Employee Relations representatives, and Captain John McBride from Personnel Administration Bureau.
Board Member Meeting at CRDF
Feb 27: Board member Tony Coleman visited CRDF to discuss the current state of CCW’s, the Custody Assistant classification review, scheduling & drafting, the assignments of Custody Assistants at the facility, the vacancies/hiring of CAs and the impact of creating new units on current staff.

Feb 27: PPOA emailed its list of primary election endorsements to members on Thursday. If you are a registered voter in LA County, the PPOA Board of Directors encourages you to cast an informed vote for candidates who support the interests of public safety personnel. If you are not a County resident, you can still help by sharing the endorsement list below with friends and family who live in Los Angeles County.
Meeting to Discuss Law Enforcement Technician Class Study
Feb 27: PPOA Vice President/L.E.T. Jim Blankenship, President Tab Rhodes and Executive Director Wayne Quint met at the Hall of Justice with LASD executives and LA County CEO's Office representatives to discuss the ongoing L.E.T. class study. Upon recommendation from the L.E.T. Labor Management Committee (a byproduct of contract negotiations between PPOA, County and LASD), the CEO Classification Division is conducting a review of the staffing and classification concept, standards and duties of LETs throughout the department. Pay Errors Discussed with Medical Examiner's Office
Feb 27:  The latest in a series of meetings to discuss errors in payment to employees of the Department of Medical Examiner was held on Thursday  at the DME-Coroner Office . Those participating included President Rhodes, Executive Director Quint, PPOA Representative Kevin Thompson, and representatives from the Department of Medical Examiner.

This is exactly why the PPOA Conference Center was included in the building plans for the union headquarters in San Dimas.
