One of my favorite things about our community is that we have always been supportive of our small businesses. And over the past few months, it has been inspiring to see the ways people have been rallying to keep our small businesses going, in Humboldt and throughout our region.

But right now, supporting our small businesses means more than just “shopping local”. We can also show our support by helping ensure the employees who work at our small businesses stay safe and healthy. Simple choices—like wearing a mask, using hand sanitizer, and monitoring our health for COVID 19 symptoms can be the difference between your favorite businesses being able to stay open even with an uncertain future, or having to close down.

Thanks to a generous contribution from the Governor's Office of Emergency Services and the Office of the Small Business Advocate, AEDC and local chambers of commerce will be distributing PPE and hand sanitizer to local businesses free of charge.

At AEDC, we want to continue serving our local businesses, no matter what. While we actively seek the best resources for your businesses and our community, please do not hesitate to reach out if you need support.
