1) Clients and their Triumphant Return to PEX Health and Fitness
Volume is really starting to pick up at the gym, which is great news. I imagine that we will be back to semi-normal numbers by late spring/early summer. As always, we appreciate your trust, and patience, as we continue to deftly navigate over this ever-changing landscape. You all are the best!
2) The MyZone Heart Rate Program
...has been a huge hit! People are really loving using them, and it has been a great tool for us, as coaches, to help gauge intensity and recovery. Plus, it's really useful to compare and quantify each repetitive workout to see and measure progress. We still have straps to sell at the gym if anyone is interested!
3) The PEX Gear Retail Page
We are selling masks, hats, water bottles, NEW LONG SLEEVES (the soft suede ones from a few years ago that everyone loved), CBD Pain Cream, CBD Tinctures, and the MyZone heart rate monitors.
All of the inventory is accurate, and the ordering process is super easy -- you enter your Credit Card information, I steal your identity and take all of your money, and then I personally hand you your brand new PEX gear. I would call that a win-win!
4) Client Content Submission to the Newsletter!
I had a semi-aggressive conversation with a guy who runs a print media operation out of Dover. He was trying to get me to sign up for ad space in his magazine for a million dollars a month for the next 12-months. It seemed a bit pricey to me, so I balked on the offer. During the course of our conversation, though, he mentioned that almost all of the content in the magazine is submitted by the consumers of the magazine. I thought to myself, "that's a great idea!" and then said to him on the phone, "that's a great idea!" So I figured why not throw that great idea out to all of you, the PEX fam?
Going forwards, I would love to highlight any of you (our clients) and the things you hold near and dear to your hearts: your small business that you own, the charity or organization that you support, the accomplishment that you're proud of, your families, even your dogs (just kidding -- I hate dogs).
If any of you want to submit anything for the newsletter (we do have about 600 subscribers) please email me here!
5) Donating to the Greater Boston Food Bank
For the month of February, PEX Health and Fitness will be donating $1 from every private training session that we do, and $5 for every semi-private training session that we do, to the Greater Boston Food Bank. I cannot take credit for this endeavor, as this was entirely orchestrated by Jake and Julie Louro.
Here is a note from the Dream Team themselves:
"Recently, Julie and I have been talking about how we can make a positive impact and help those in need in our community. So we started looking into the
Greater Boston Food Bank. We were astonished to discover that just $1 helps provide 3 meals. $1. Seriously.
With that being said, we’ve decided that for every training session we complete in the month of February, we will donate $5 of that session to the greater Boston food bank. Don’t worry, your rates will not be going up! This is going to come out of what you already pay for training. If you would like to match our donation or exceed it of course you are welcome but there is absolutely zero pressure or expectation for you guys to do this. This is something that Julie and I want to do.
In addition to the session donations, we are also going to offer six 30-minute virtual body weight conditioning classes. The suggested donation for the class is $20 but you are welcome to give as much or as little as you see fit. 100% of the money will be donated to the food bank. All classes will be done on Zoom. The classes will held on the following dates and times:
2/4- 10:30am
2/7- 10:00am
2/12- 9:30am
2/17- 9:30am
2/21- 10:00am
2/28- 10:00am
Please send us an
email if you are planning on attending so we can get an idea of how many people will be taking the class.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please don’t hesitate to speak up! We would love to hear from you all!"
If you want to donate to our team page, you can do that
here!
