MCA ~ Minnesota Comprehensive Testing | |
|
Students in Grades 3, 4, 5 will be taking the MCA (Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments) in April. Grades 3, 4, and 5 will take the Math and Reading MCA. Grade 5 will also take a Science MCA in March. They will be completed on the students' Chromebooks at school. For more information about the MCA, click here. Here is a link to the SLP testing website.

Dear Parents,
Each grade level is being asked to donate new items towards a basket that will be raffled off at the Peter Hobart Spring Carnival and Silent Auction on Friday
May 3rd from 5-8pm!
We are encouraging you to purchase a theme inspired item for the basket. Or call a friend and go in on an item together. No donation is too small!

Skyhawks Basketball (Gr. K-2)
Using our progression-based curriculum, we focus on the whole player - teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Students will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense through skill-based instruction and small-sided scrimmages. Instructor: Skyhawks

Download the new Transportation App, My Ride K-12 by May 1, 2024
This spring, St. Louis Park Public Schools will begin using a new transportation app for parents and caregivers to access updated transportation information for their student(s). In the new app, you can access the information as you did in the previous app.
- Real-time mapping for school bus arrival for pick-up and afternoon drop-off
- Easy access to bus information (bus number, bus stop location, and bus stop time)
The new app, My Ride K-12, is available on the Apple Store and Google Play Store now. You can use your existing log-in information (username and password) from the previous transportation app (Traversa Ride 360) to log into the new app or the website.
Parents and guardians will need to download a new app by May 1 in order to access their student’s transportation information.

St. Louis Park High School Theatre Presents
Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling April 19-21
Steel Magnolias is a dramatic comedy centered around six southern women and their relationships that bloom within the local beauty salon. Set over 2 years in the late 1980s, the play follows Truvy, the sassy and strong salon owner; Annelle, her anxious new assistant with her fair share of secrets; Miss Clairee, widow of the former beloved mayor who has become quite the public figure herself; Ouiser, the town curmudgeon with a warm heart; Shelby, a young woman with health issues who’s ready to take risks to live her life; and M’Lynn, who will protect her daughter at any cost.
Due to construction at the High School, all performances will be held at the Middle School Performing Arts Center, located at 2025 Texas Ave S. Performances are April 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. and April 21 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens, and free with student ID for all SLPHS students. Preschool Summer Learning Academy- 2024-25 Kindergartners | |

Early Learning is very excited to offer a summer experience at the Peter Hobart Summer Learning Academy for children entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2024 with little to no preschool experience.
Do you know any little ones who are getting ready to start Kindergarten this fall? We will host two Summer Learning Academy classes for five weeks. Each class will be staffed by a lead teacher and a para. There is a maximum of 14 students per class. The focus will be helping to prepare students to be members of a Kindergarten classroom community. Here are some more important details:
Cost: FREE!
Location: Peter Hobart Elementary School
Days: Monday-Thursday
Dates: June 17 - July 25 (no school 6/19 and Fourth of July week 7/1-7/4)
Time: 8:00-12:30
Meals: Breakfast and lunch provided
Bus: Bussing is available via community bus stop. Preschool students will be riding with K-5 students.
If you have a student who has had little to no preschool experience and are interested in the program, please call 952-928-6785 for more information.
