Cochecho Arts Festival


The 38th Annual Cochecho Arts Festival kicked off on July 9.

The summer-long Festival showcases regionally recognized acts as well as top local Seacoast entertainers. The Chamber is proud to have taken the lead in promoting the arts and community events in Dover with the belief that everyone benefits from a vibrant, healthy community.


All Cochecho Arts Festival events are free to attend and open to the public.

Music in the Garden: Abby Hutchinson's Sweet Freedom Songs

Thursday, July 18, 6:30-7:30pm


Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a free evening of music in the Colonel Paul Wentworth House garden. Appearing as Abby Hutchinson of the famed Hutchinson Family Singers, Deborah Goss performs rousing anthems, heartfelt ballads, and humorous ditties sung during the anti-slavery and early women’s rights struggles of the 1840s and 1850s. Paws & Pajamas: Krazy for Kittens Night

Paws and Pajamas is a fun and easy way to get your kids involved with Pope Memorial Humane Society, and have a little time for yourselves too. The night includes popcorn, time spent with many of our kittens from foster care, cat related crafts, and more. This is a drop-off event for children ages 6 to 12.

Teddy Bear Clinic

The Children's Museum of New Hampshire will be having their annual Teddy Bear Clinic. Each animal will be checked in to our "clinic" with an ID bracelet, and each child will bring their animal in to be examined by a volunteer healthcare professional. This event is designed to ease the fears of children before they go off to their own check up.
