PDDG Design Notes – August 2024

August: the month where the days grow shorter and the air crisps up, but our creative heat is just getting started!

It’s a curious thing about August—except for Leap Year, it’s the only month with 31 days that doesn't start on the same day of the week as any other month. Unique, right? Well, so are our clients’ projects.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Workforce Santa Cruz County joined the PDDG Family in early 2021, and since that time, we have assisted the workforce development team with the creation of a new brand platform and the development and launch of its first-ever virtual career services website.

Over the past three years, we have maintained and greatly expanded the website. Most recently, we applied a significant design update to improve the overall visitor experience, better organize the navigation and site flow, deploy a robust job board, and build out a series of web pages tailored to the needs of job seekers and employers.

PERSONAL SERVICES

We are excited to share the launch of the new website experience for Neighbors Who Care (NWC), an Arizona-based network of volunteers improving the lives of seniors by promoting independence, dignity, and community, all while enabling seniors to live fulfilling lives in their homes for as long as possible.

Over the past year, we worked closely with the NWC management team to carefully craft a fresh, welcoming website presence with a focus on ease of use. In addition to creating a vibrant, engaging layout and design aesthetic, our web development team thoughtfully organized the overall website structure, created clean call-to-action tools, and deployed a broad range of infographics, iconography, and imagery.

AGRICULTURE

PDDG has more than 44 years of experience in marketing for the agriculture industry, and we have a particular niche in supporting ag-focused associations. This month marks the completion of our 550^th project for our various ag clients.

Some of our long-standing clients in the agriculture industry include Ag Association Management Services, California Alfalfa and Forage Association, California Alfalfa and Forage Research Foundation, California Grain and Feed Association, California Grape Rootstock Commission, California Seed Association, HAY4YOU, Mid-Pacific Region Water Users’ Conference, and Pacific Egg and Poultry Association.

Our range of services for our ag clients has included branding, graphic design, website design, copywriting, social media management, production, signage, and promotional items.

NOTEWORTHY

CWA 2024 Meeting of the Minds Conference

Continuing our deep workforce development commitment, PDDG will also be attending and exhibiting at the 2024 Meeting of the Minds Conference, sponsored by the California Workforce Association (CWA), and held in Monterey from September 3-5. If you will be attending this year, please stop by our booth and say hello. Plenty of the world-famous PDDG light-up pens will be available!

PDDG Continues Support of IEDC

PDDG is proud to continue our support of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and our clients and partners in the economic development industry. We will be exhibiting at the IEDC 2024 Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado, from September 15-18. If you plan on attending, be sure to stop by our booth and pick up one of our world-famous light-up pens!
