Our Professional Learning team has grown, and so is our catalog of free classroom tips from Branching Out!

We are back for the new school year with easy-to-implement techniques and strategies to help you in a variety of areas. Katie Algrim, Director of Innovative Professional Learning, is joined by Jordan Eggleson, Professional Learning Coordinator, along with our new Instructional Coaches, Faye Licari and Elsa Glover, to bring you these complimentary strategies.

Slide-to-Self Showcase

This fun activity can empower students to share about themselves and get to know one another better while strengthening their digital literacy.

If you can hear me, BREATHE.

You may have tried asking your students to clap or respond with a phrase if they can hear you, but what about simply breathing?

Encouraging this breathing technique can help your students focus and listen for your next instructions.

New episodes are released every Thursday across our social media platforms and website. You can also browse our full catalog below. With over 100 episodes and counting, there's a video for every educator looking to branch out!

Evaluator Initial Training and Retraining at the Kane County ROE

Last week, we were fortunate to host Maureen McAbee to lead two days of Evaluator Initial Training and Retraining for Principals and Assistant Principals at the Kane County ROE. We are thankful to the administrators that took the time to be with us and are happy to have been a partner in helping them complete this qualification.

Social and Emotional services through SEL Hub

The Kane County ROE is proud to once again serve as a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Hub this school year. We are here to work with schools to support our students' and educators' social and emotional needs.

Whether its help with a needs assessment, action planning process, or workshops related to SEL content, support and resources are available at no cost to you!
