PCSL Families,

The last few days have been quite a blur following the announcements from the Governor, IYSA and IHSA. We have received many questions from families and share your feelings of uncertainty, and disappointment as we look ahead to the next few months of soccer. Much of this situation is out of our control, but we are trying to focus on what we can control and do everything we can to keep our kids, families, coaches, and staff safe while still allowing the most meaningful soccer opportunities we can safely offer this fall. Please know that this situation is fluid, not in our control, and our entire staff is putting in a tremendous amount of work right now.
Similar to how we navigated through uncertainty this spring, we commit to provide regular communication with you and let you know new information as often as possible. The executive board and staff have already had multiple meetings and our club leadership has been involved in numerous conversations with other soccer organizations trying to find answers to many of the same questions we are now being asked.
This guidance appears favorable to local recreational soccer leagues like PCSL. The IYSA guidelines should allow us move forward with our league.
Given this is a fluid situation, we will continue re-evaluating what the season will look like and what additional safety precautions will be taken as further information comes in. Our goal will be to continue working within the guidance of IYSA and local health regulations while still allowing players the ability to play safe and meaningful soccer.
If you have any questions, please contact PCSL League Administrator, Pam Bauman at  league@pcslsoccer.org.

Thank you,

Prairie Cities Soccer League & Illinois Fire Juniors Board of Directors
