New NACo report on child welfare highlights Coshocton, Hamilton counties

A new brief from the National Association of Counties shines a spotlight on Ohio, and on Coshocton and Hamilton counties in particular. "County Policy Priorities for Transforming the Child Welfare System" by NACo Legislative Director Rachel Mackey explores key issues like workforce and the placement continuum in Ohio and other state-supervised, county-administered states. Coshocton County is highlighted for its use of ARPA funding to support its workforce, and Hamilton County is lauded for creating housing for transition-age youth. The report includes a number of policy recommendations. PCSAO is grateful to NACo for giving attention to these issues and to the commissioners and directors in those counties for their outstanding leadership! Download the report and read more here.
