Around 1947/1948 the women of the Methodist Missionary Alliance establish the first lending library in Eloy at the local Community Center. In 2012, the Eloy Public Library moved to its current joint-use public/high school facility at 1000 N Main Street and adopted a new name: Eloy Santa Cruz Library in reference to the Santa Cruz Valley Union High School. The library has over 14,000 items in all formats, and 12 public access computers.
On April 17th, 2024, the Eloy Santa Cruz Library celebrated their 12th anniversary.
As a dual-use library, they offer a wide range of services. The library is located on the campus of Santa Cruz Valley Union High School. In addition to serving the high school, they also serve the general public. The hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Eloy Santa Cruz Library would love to see you! With so many programs and library resources, they have a lot to offer the community. Currently, the library is working on a special project. The library is in the process of creating a Teen Zone. They hope to complete it soon.
Although there is no official date for completion of their NEW Teen Zone, it will have STEM items such as 3D printing and computers for the teens to use for design and creation purposes. The Library will also have entertainment equipment as well.
