On April 4, PCC Board chair Rip Sanders released a letter thanking outgoing Executive Director Amy Johnson Ely for her 11 years of leadership and service to the organization. See that letter HERE.
The Board has asked former Community Engagement Manager Joanne Burkett to step back on staff as Interim Director.
"Throughout her tenure, Amy's dedication, passion, and tireless efforts have been instrumental in advancing our mission to improve cyclist and pedestrian safety on South Carolina roads. Her visionary leadership has significantly expanded our reach, programs, and impact across the state, making great strides since our establishment in 1995.
As Executive Director, Amy has exemplified remarkable leadership qualities, guiding us with patience, wisdom, integrity, and foresight. Her strategic vision, coupled with her ability to forge partnerships and inspire others, has shaped PCC into the influential organization it is today.
