PC(USA) Clerk Stepping Down | After seven years as the chief ecclesial officer of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), the Rev. Dr. J. Herbert Nelson, II, is resigning from his role as Stated Clerk of the General Assembly of the PC(USA) effective June 30, 2023. | |

Rev. Alex Evans, pastor of Second Church in Richmond, will lead worship for the final time on April 30. He is retiring after serving as head pastor since December 2008. We rejoice with Alex on this special occasion and are grateful for the dedication and commitment with which he has served. May the Lord bless you and keep you. | |

Ministry Invites Small Church Pastors to Fellowship Dinner | Small Church Ministry invites pastors of small churches to a BBQ potluck on May 21 at Brandermill Church in Chesterfield. Join for great food, fellowship, and discussion. The ministry will provide BBQ, drinks, and desserts. Bring your favorite side dish to add to the meal. Spouses and partners are welcome. Another event is being planned for the northeastern area of the presbytery. | |

Disaster Ministry Returning to Florida | Continuing their efforts to help west Florida recover from Hurricane Ian, POJ’s Disaster Relief Ministry is organizing a third trip to the area May 13-21. This time their work will be in the town of Wauchula. Volunteers must be able bodied and willing to do manual labor (at your own pace).
