Elections Recap
Presidential Preference Primary & Uniform Municipal Elections
The March 19, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) and Uniform Municipal Elections recently concluded. Palm Beach County had 44,786 voters cast their ballot on Election Day – the largest number of votes cast on Election Day among all Florida counties.

Presidential Preference Primary (PPP). Only the Republican Party held a PPP in Florida this year, since the Florida Democratic Party had already selected its nominee for U.S. President. Florida is a “closed primary” state; therefore, only voters who registered with the Republican Party by February 20, 2024, were eligible to participate in the PPP.

Uniform Municipal Elections. Voters eligible to vote in 22 municipalities and certain unincorporated areas of Palm Beach County voted for candidates, local referenda, and/or annexation questions. The City of Lake Worth Beach, City of Pahokee, and Village of Wellington also held a Runoff Municipal Election on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

Election Day in Palm Beach County unfolded seamlessly. Ballots were tabulated swiftly, securely, and accurately. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, the Elections Office upheld the integrity of the elections, providing voters with a smooth, secure, and pleasant voting experience.

Thank you to all the voters, election workers, candidates, municipal clerks, and community leaders for your unwavering support and participation.

As we look ahead, our Elections Team is ready to ensure that Palm Beach County continues to be the best place to vote, offering unparalleled accessibility, security, transparency, and convenience.
