2022 NYLT @ Sabattis
August 7th-12th
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide all 13 to 20 year old youth members of the Boy Scouts of America with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home units and in other situations that demand leadership of self and others. Training of our youth leadership is important in helping the youth and their units to grow. Over the years the Boy Scouts of America has refined and developed this week-long training experience. Youth from your unit are invited and highly encouraged to participate.

NYLT is open to all Scouts BSA members 13 and older as well as all Venturing Scouts and Sea Scouts. Please remember that this includes both male and female
Volunteers are needed for this year's Paige Butterfly Run
on
Saturday 6/4 from 7AM - Noon.

Each year this event raises money that helps to fight pediatric cancer. There is a lot involved on Race Day and we can’t do it without volunteers. This year's event will be back in downtown Syracuse.  It takes off and finishes near the Federal Building.  

Looking for volunteers to provide water to runners, handout runner #s & ribbons, and set up & tear down. (set up is on Friday)

Planned activities include: sling shot, tomahawk/knife throwing, archery, obstacle course of scout skills, orienting, first responder, sports & games, gaga pit, welding, border patrol, intro to the ‘Citizenship in Society’ merit badge, and animal recognition. At night, (weather permitting), will be an opportunity to observe the sky through a telescope.

This year we will launch our program year and popcorn at the same place and time. Plan to attend this one of a kind event to learn the program offerings for the new Scouting year. Learn about new Popcorn plans and best practices for recruitment. This is a one stop shopping for info and materials to help you plan your units program for rest of 2022 and 2023.
LHC Ride for Scouting

The Ride will begin and end at

$35 per-person includes T-shirt, Kickstand Puck, Event Patch, Chicken BBQ Lunch, & Rodeo activities at camp (Round Robin of BSA supervised shooting sports activities.

Pick a level ($25, $100, $250) then pick a bucket (Swag Sponsor, Food & Beverage Sponsor, Program Sponsor) Sponsors making contributions of $250+ will get their logo on the back of the event t-shirt.

Scout Field Days

The Most Important Part of getting Young people to join Scouting is our ability to Deliver on the Promise of Adventure.
So this Year Save the Date of Saturday June 25th for Scout Field Days
This event will be FREE for any NEW Scout that joins between
April 1st and June 24th.
We will have all the FUN and Adventure you could ask for at
Camp Woodland
SUPER RECRUITER PATCH
Every Scout regardless of the program they are in that recruits a friend to join Scouting will receive a special super recruiter patch.
Plus, every unit that has increased their membership by 10% (minimum of five new Scouts) will receive the Recruitment Heroes Council Shoulder Patch for the whole unit.
The Return of
the Brotherhood Camporee
This year there will be an event to beat all other events. On October 14th - 16th join Scouts from Canada and the USA for the return the Brotherhood Camporee. After a three year absence the Brotherhood Camporee returns with a New date and a New program. Not only will this be a Scout BSA event, but Cub Scouts are invited as well. So, Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturers, Sea Scouts, and Explorers mark you calendar for October 14th - 16th for fellowship & Fun.
Fall Family Camp
This year we are mixing things up and moving the Fall Family camp (Spooktacular) to the weekend of September 23rd, 24th, & 25th. We will have all of the same fun and adventure but with a different theme. Camping will be available for families and units. Plus this will still be a free event to all newly recruited scouts. So mark your calendars and bring the whole family for Fall Family Fun.
National Jamboree
Take advantage of this once in a life time adventure and sign up today The Adventure will includes a day at Hershey Park a full day in Washington DC and then head to the Summit for 10 days of fun and adventure that you can't find any where else. Join over 10,000 Scouts from across the country and the world for fellowship and fun.

Airplane rides are offered at no cost to youth ages 8 – 17. Registration and more information is available on the site listed.
