Time Is Running Out

This year's Winter Soiree will have 2 parts!
You can choose to do one or both!

  • The in-person event will take place at the Rail Line event venue in Syracuse and will feature gourmet food and beverage pairings provided by local businesses. Expect plenty of festivities with an optional White Elephant add-on experience, a beverage pull, and a feel-good program.

  • The other option is our holiday breakfast kits! Your breakfast kit will include a gourmet selection of festive breakfast items featuring selections from local businesses including Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters and Cabot Cheese.

Relax and enjoy a night out and/or breakfast, this holiday season while supporting Scouting in the Longhouse Council.
Make-A-Wish
Scouts, write a letter to Santa on behalf of Make-A-Wish of Central New York. Letters can be written virtually via this link, http://bit.ly/BelieveMAWCNY or hand delivered to the mailbox at Macy’s in Destiny between now and Dec. 24. 
Re-Charter tip #4
Roster review, it is super important to make sure that everyone that is participating in your unit is on your charter. This protects everyone from any unforeseen issues. That is why running a complete roster review before you start your recharter process is so important.

Ranger Rick Day
December 18th is the Ranger Rick Service Day at Camp Woodland where we will also be holding a brotherhood trail. Be sure to dress for the weather and bring clothes you can work in, work gloves, uniform & sash. Hope to see you all there.

We will be holding the Lowanne Nimat Lodge annual banquet or Bash on Sunday January 16th. Stay tuned for more info
Winter IOLS
In the start of 2022 we will be offering a winter IOLS. This is an opportunity to get this training out of the way, rather than waiting till spring. Be on the look out for more info coming soon.
Eagle Recognition Dinner
January 13th, 2022
Eagle Scouts, this year's keynote speaker is Thor Retzlaff. Thor earned his Eagle Scout rank in 2013. Thor will talk about achieving this accomplishment and the formative years, and bouts of adversity that inevitably shaped him into the man he is today. Since graduating from Lewis & Clark College in 2018, Thor has been on an entrepreneurial journey, founding a media production company and several companies dedicated to understanding the affects and uses of human waste on and with the environment. During the event you can expect to hear more about Thor's adventures to the Arctic and Antarctic regions, why storytelling is a powerful tool, and why it is important to seek out inconvenient experiences.
