Dear PALM Family,


I hope this newsletter finds you all in good health and high spirits. Firstly, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us for the Volunteer Recognition Awards Ceremony on April 26, 2024. Your presence and contributions truly make PALM a vibrant and caring community.


I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who has supported PALM over the past few years, especially during the challenges brought on by the pandemic. To PALM’s valued members and visitors, your ongoing support and active participation have been instrumental in PALM's success and we appreciate the effort you put into making PALM a welcoming and engaging place for all. 


I also want to express my deepest gratitude to PALM's partners and funders for their unwavering support, which has been crucial to our success. We look forward to honoring all of you at an upcoming event as a token of our appreciation for your continued collaboration and commitment to the older adult community.


As we step into May, PALM has lined up several exciting celebrations for you. Join us on Friday, May 3, 2024, for a festive Cinco de Mayo celebration filled with food, fun, and music from 11 AM to 1 PM. Let's immerse ourselves in the vibrant culture and flavors of this joyous occasion together.


Monthly Services

To enhance your experience and offer exceptional service, a certified Notary will be available on-site every first Monday starting May 6, 2024, from 11 AM to 1 PM. While appointments are optional, we recommend scheduling one for your notary needs.

"Ask The Nurse" with Karen Moffett from Mainline Health is offered on the second Monday of each month from 11 AM to 1 PM.

"Ask The Attorney" for will preparation with Heather Turner Esquire is available on the second Tuesday of the month, and appointments are required for this service.


Save the date for PALM's Annual Mother's Day Luncheon on Friday, May 10, 2024. Keynote Speaker for the Event is Heather Turner, LLC. Treat a mom, bring a mom, or enjoy this special day with us for just $10, promising a delightful experience filled with delicious food and heartwarming moments.


Partnering with Junkluggers, PALM is hosting an e-waste drop-off event from May 15 to May 18, 2024, providing an opportunity to declutter and prepare for the summer season.


Special Event Alert!

Join us on May 17, 2024, for a special event with Senator Cappelletti and PA MEDI, focusing on accessing care on the medicare.gov website. Call Senator Cappelletti’s office at 610-768-4200 for the access link if you prefer to join virtually.


Looking ahead to June, mark your calendars for Healthy Steps for Older Adults (HSOA) on June 10 and 12, 2024. Clare Kuzmicki from the Montgomery County Office of Senior Services will be available to guide this fall prevention program to enhance your understanding, support health needs, and offer valuable resources.


Father's Day Celebration! Join us for PALM's Father's Day Cookout with James W. Bell-Allen Lodge #97 taking over the grilling station. More details to come!


Don't miss Lower Merion's Annual Juneteenth Celebration on June 22, 2024, from 12 PM - 4 PM, at Vernon Young Playground, featuring, a day packed with joyful events good food, vendors, and a host of activities and displays.


Closing the month, join PALM's Annual Jazz Fest Fundraiser on June 23, 2024, featuring the Alfie Pollitt Trio. Tickets will be available at the door or in advance for a nominal fee.


We are thrilled about these upcoming events and look forward to your participation. Please make your reservations early, as tickets are in high demand.
