We are LIVE again, finally!

A Message from PACP President
Welcome Back to the Magic

We theater makers thrive on the palpable energy that is created on stage, whether it’s the set going up, the costumes, the rehearsals or the actors becoming the characters they portray. We’ve greatly missed it. And we’ve really missed you.

Over the past 18 months we have been working hard to make your return to the theater as safe as possible. All the seats and carpets have been professionally cleaned, and a brand new, long needed, heat pump was installed last month and will make the air you breathe meet CDC standards for filtration. In the restrooms you’ll find touchless faucets and soap dispensers, and more air filtration. In the lobby you can sanitize your hands and find all volunteers masked, socially distanced and everyone wearing a copy of their vaccination card on lanyards. Our new COVID motto is "We will show you ours when we ask to see yours!"

When you order tickets, your party will automatically have one seat between you and the next party. We are limiting the number of tickets sold. We want to make your 1st experience back at PACP to be safe and FUN, so you can laugh and have a great time with us.

YES! The actors work hard and put a lot of energy into creating the experience for our community with rehearsals but, that’s nothing like the energy that comes from a live audience. To an actor it is invigorating to hear your laughter and reactions bounce around our theater! We can't wait to have you experience our newest production. So sit back and enjoy!

We invite you to come laugh at us, safely!

Hello All PACP Children's Theatre Lovers
We would love to get together this Sunday, September 19th at 2 PM at the Playhouse to discuss the future of the Children's Theatre.

We need you!!
We need ideas!
We need adults and kiddos!

We are looking for our community to take charge, create a board and committees to make this a wonderful experience for you and the community. But, don't worry, we aren't going anywhere, we simply can't do it without you!
If you are inside the Playhouse, you MUST wear a mask at all times. For the safety of cast members, our crew, staff and everyone in the audience, we will ask to see your COVID vaccine card as you enter the theater. Thank you for adhering to our policy for the health and safety of all!

Welcome back to our 2021/2022 Season
As A Volunteer!

We are excited about our line-up this year, celebrating the 50th birthday of the P.A. Community Playhouse theater building.

PACP is getting ready for our first show of our Main Stage Season,
The Savannah Sipping Society opening on Friday, September 24. This hilarious comedy in the tradition of Crimes of the Heart and Steel Magnolias tells the story of four women who come together to form a special sisterhood as they face real life challenges with humor and, occasionally, a stiff drink.

Here's your opportunity to usher or become a House Manager for this production or the entire season!
Anita Bonham, our long-time Front of House Coordinator, has retired. We wish her lots of love in her new adventures and many THANKS for all her time and devotion to PACP. She will be missed by one and all.

Never House Managed before? We offer training!
Do you have a friend who enjoys theater? Why not invite them along to be an usher with you! Ushering is a great way to see the play and get to know the rest of the board and many of the regular volunteers at the Playhouse.

Theater or Theatre?

That is the question.
Theater and theatre are different spellings of the same word. The main thing that most English speakers and learners need to know is that theater is the preferred spelling in American English, and theatre is preferred virtually everywhere else. The American preference for theater is a late-20th-century development (though the spelling itself is a centuries-old variant), so it is understandable that some people still resist it, and its newness means that exceptions are very easily found, but in this century the reference is entrenched. Some Americans do make distinctions—for instance, that a theater is a venue while theatre is an art form, or that a theater is a movie theater while a theatre is a drama venue.
PACP uses these two different spellings to distinguish between the building and the art form.
Thanks to all who voted in 2020.

We were considered in very good company with Black Diamond Junction and the Port Angeles Symphony! We are honored to be included with your groups, which are two of our community entertainment favorites.
