Grant Writing 101

Anissa Starnes, YGM Total Resource Campaigns

In this webinar, Anissa will provide you with the basic knowledge and understanding of how to find potential grants to apply for, how to reach out to build relationships with Grantmakers, and ultimately craft a grant application that will be successful in securing funding. We will walk through the basic best practices of these three steps in the grant life cycle: research, relationships, and writing. We hope this will help you feel more confident as you seek grant revenue for your chamber. During this webinar you will learn:

  • The key elements of the grant life cycle;
  • Why some grants do not receive funding;
  • How to determine which Grantmakers are a strong fit for your organization;
  • How to best tell “your story” on why you need the funding; and
  • How to use your research and relationship efforts to customize your grant applications.

CLICK HERE to register for this hour-long session. The meeting will be recorded and shared with the full membership after the session if you aren't able to join us that day.

PA Chamber Update

PA Needs More Health Care Workers, Not Mandates

Below is a link to a joint op-ed that was written by PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein and Hospital and Health System Association of Pennsylvania President and CEO Nicole Stallings, and originally printed in the Central Penn Business Journal. The op-ed outlines the current shortage of health care workers and encourages policymakers to prioritize workforce solutions over state-imposed mandates. Click here for the full article.

Child Care Survey for Your Members

The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry and the Pennsylvania Early Learning Investment Commission are exploring cross-sector, innovative opportunities to improve business outcomes while enhancing solutions for parents and their children. To that end, we would greatly appreciate your and your members’ participation in this brief survey, which will collect information about how your organization and employees may be affected by childcare-related challenges. The questions are designed to be answered by senior leaders responsible for addressing employee challenges in any kind of business, organization, and agency in PA. We greatly appreciate the 12-15 minutes that you and your members will take to complete the “Employing and Engaging Parents” survey by November 10, 2023. As an added incentive, five, $50 Amazon gift cards will be randomly selected as tokens of our appreciation.
