Hello everyone, We hope you are starting to enjoy the warmer weather now that the April and May showers have subsided! We have lots to share with you in this edition of our PACFA newsletter from rule change updates, recruitment for several Advisory Committee positions, and the implementation of a new online licensing and inspection system this summer! Access the new rule by clicking on the PACFA Rules and Regulations box above. Plan Templates Contingency and DCAT Plan templates can be downloaded from the PACFA web page and on the left. If you're unsure of how to use the template, use the instructions to learn how to download and edit the plan templates.

Welcome Aboard! CDA is excited to welcome Stephanie Turner to the PACFA team! Stephanie is the new PACFA Inspector for the Central Mountian Territory that covers 8 counties including Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Gilpin, Jefferson, Lake, and Summit. Stephanie has worked in several zoos around the country and in her last position Stephanie was responsible for developing the enrichment program for the Dumb Friends League.

2022 Colorado Annual Shelter and Rescue Statistics Reports Published The individual and aggregate 2022 annual shelter and rescue statistics reports for Colorado are now published on the PACFA webpage. Click on the "PACFA Annual & Individual Statistics" box above to view the reports. PACFA Education Program Update We are currently searching for a new Learning Management System (LMS) Hosting Platform. We have been experiencing performance issues in being able to enroll people with our current platform. While we work to find a new LMS system in the new fiscal year, July, we will not be enrolling anyone in the education course, except for new applicants at this time. Continuing education enrollments for current licensees will continue once we acquire a new LMS hosting platform in July 2023. Reach out to Michele Barton, PACFA Licensing and Education Administrator, with any education-related questions.

New PACFA Licensing Portal!

Starting June 2023, PACFA will be transitioning to a new online licensing and inspection portal.

We have worked with our CDA Office of Information Technology (OIT) team over the past year to get and launch this new online licensing and inspection system which will replace the current AgLicense system. Features of the new system will allow new applicants and current license holders to: apply for a license online, making the application process easier and quicker.  print and renew your license in a much easier way add a new location and make changes such as changing a primary business contact or adding or dropping a category  The new online portal can be accessed through any device including phones and tablets.  Our website will have a direct link to the PACFA Licensing Portal starting in June. Additional announcements will be sent via email in June to provide more information so current license holders can access their new accounts.
