Thank you for reading the first edition of the MontcoLinks: Community Compass! This newsletter was designed with your needs in mind and it is our hope that the content will help you support those your serve through featured services, resources, and opportunities that are available throughout Montgomery County.


We want to take a moment to to share our appreciation for your support of the PA CareerLink® Montgomery County, but more importantly, for your support of our community. It is because of you that we have such success as an organization and as a county.

At a Glance

This section is dedicated to providing an overview of ways that PA CareerLink® Montgomery County can help our career seekers. These services include job search strategizing, creating and formatting resumes, preparing for an interview, personalized career coaching, funding opportunities for training opportunities, learning necessary computer skills, coping with job search stress and anxiety, and so much more! Stay tuned for the next volume where we will cover our “Welcome Aboard” workshop.

At PA CareerLink® Montgomery County, we are dedicated to serving all customers - both career seekers and employers. This section features a local organization that supports the development of a thriving workforce system in Montgomery County!


LGBT Business Council

“The Montgomery County LGBT Business Council is an LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce for LGBTQ+ owned and allied organizations and businesses in Montgomery County and beyond.

Our mission is to create networking, social, and business opportunities for LGBTQ+ business professionals and allies in Montgomery County.


Our vision is to provide support to the business community through education, training, professional development, policy advocacy, legal services, and adaptation to ensure that workplace environments are welcoming and

inclusive regardless of sexual orientations and gender identities.


We also offer yearly diversity training, advocacy services, and free monthly business networking events, co-hosted by current members at their locations. On our website you’ll find a resource database, where people can access discounted

services or pro bono services that include, name changing clinics, financial, legal, and educational services, and everything else in between.


The Montgomery County LGBT Business Council is your gateway to LGBTQ+ commerce in Montco and beyond. Go to montcolgbtbc.org or reach out to us directly at board@montcolgbtbc.org for all your LGBTQ+ resources, a diverse list of supportive businesses and organizations, or to become a part of diverse membership base or our volunteer board!”

Inflation Reduction Act Community Change

Grants Program

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is accepting applications for

Inflation Reduction Act funding. The funds are available to support “community-driven projects that build capacity for communities to tackle environmental and climate justice challenges, strengthen their climate resilience, and advance clean energy.”


Entities eligible to apply are either a partnership between two community-based non-profit organizations (CBOs) or a partnership between a CBO and a Federally-Recognized Tribe, a local government, or an institution of higher education.
