New Maternity Suite at Hillingdon Hospital

We are proud to have completed the Maternity Bereavement Unit at Hillingdon Hospital with Hillingdon Hospitals Charity. We can’t describe the project any better than this feedback from one of the fundraisers following the opening.

“The end result is something that has personally exceeded my expectations. The artwork and colour scheme means that the clinical and sterile feel of a hospital room isn’t there. It’s full of warmth and love. Just what a grieving family needs.” Credit to Georgia Burt for collaboration on colour, artwork

and wayfinding. Read More

Primary School Engagement in Somerton

OA visited Somerton Primary School to inspire pupils to look at careers in designing homes and communities, as part of our ongoing regeneration plans for Somerton, working alongside our client Newport City Homes. The aim was to engage with the children about what they think about their area.

We planned some fun games which included drawing their perfect house, decorating a ‘Welcome to Somerton’ sign and working together to construct cardboard bridges. The children really enjoyed engaging in the activities and the freedom that design can offer.
