FAIRFAX, VA –Triple lane closures and periodic total traffic stoppages on the Capital Beltway in the vicinity of Live Oak Drive (near MM 43.1) will resume tonight, Monday, Aug. 26, and continue nightly through Friday, Sept. 13. One lane in each direction will remain open, with full traffic stoppages of up to 30 minutes each occurring between midnight and 5 a.m. each night.

  • Closure: Ramp from I-495 to Georgetown Pike (Exit 44).
  • Detour: Motorists will be detoured to I-495 south general purpose lanes where they will proceed to exit 46B to access Route 123 North and then take the exit for I-495 North general purpose lanes. Motorists will continue on I-495 North general purpose lanes to Georgetown Pike (Exit 44).
  • Closure: On-ramp from westbound George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP) to southbound I-495.
