Summer is only weeks away! As we enter the final stretch of the school year, it's time to start thinking ahead and preparing for the next academic year. Transitioning smoothly into the next school year requires careful planning and organization. Here are some important health-related reminders and tips to help ensure a successful transition:

  1. Schedule Summer Health Check-ups: It's essential for students to have regular health check-ups to ensure they are in optimal health for the upcoming school year. Schedule appointments with healthcare providers for necessary vaccinations, physical exams, and any other health screenings recommended for your student.
  2. Obtain Updated Immunization Records:  Colorado law requires all students attending Colorado schools to be vaccinated against certain diseases, unless an exemption is filed. Prepare for next school year now!  If you have your student’s up-to-date vaccination record, bring it to the OHS Health Clinic at the beginning of next school year. If vaccinations are needed, they are available right here in the OHS parking lot at STRIDE Community Healthcare Center. To make an appointment, call 303-7STRIDE (303-778-7433). You can also submit a Certificate of Nonmedical Exemption received upon the completion of CDPHE’s Online Immunization Education Module, if you chose to not have your student vaccinated.  CLICK HERE to watch module and print certificate. Bring your student’s updated immunization record or exemption certificate to the OHS Health Clinic at the beginning of next school year.

(located between Overland High School and Prairie Middle School.)

Class times are from 8:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., Monday through Friday for in-person instruction. Online courses are asynchronous.

The District will provide transportation to and from the in-person summer school sessions at both locations from each student’s home high school.
