Dear Lakesiders,
We are pleased to share the outcomes of our recent Board of Directors' meeting held in August 2024 for The Lakeside Association. This meeting was unique because the entire community was invited to attend, and we included opportunities to meet and mingle with your board members.
We express our deepest gratitude to all who attended the morning “meet and greet," the board meeting in Orchestra Hall and the late afternoon social gathering. We appreciate the expressions of support and the raising of some concerns. It is apparent that every community and board member has a deep love for Lakeside and a desire for Lakeside to thrive for future generations.
Here are some highlights of the meeting:
- Approved a recommendation not to establish a New Community Authority.
- Reviewed financial reports and approved audited financial statements.
-
Approved the President/CEO's establishment of the Capital Improvement Business Case Advisory Task Force (CIBC).
- Welcomed new board member, Rev. Richard Thewlis, the new pastor at the Lakeside United Methodist Church. We are excited about the fresh perspectives and leadership he will bring to our community.
We invite you to engage with the board and participate in our continuing work. Visit the Board of Director's webpage for more information about the board and our ongoing initiatives.
Be sure to check out the exciting opportunities to support Lakeside and in the future.
It is an honor to serve the Lakeside community, and we look forward to your continued support and engagement.
Faithfully Yours,
|
