President's Report

Well, here we are, just over a month to the ATVBC Poker Ride in Princeton. Planning is coming along well and most of the plans are set for what looks like a great time to be had by all. Summer is coming and most trails are open, so get out and enjoy the trails when and wherever you can, and please remember to ride safely, and please be careful and prepared when it comes to riding in the dry conditions we have throughout the province.

Executive Director's Report

I have been away for a few weeks here in May to travel to Morocco and had an opportunity to experience the culture of recreation in Northern Africa. ATVing in different parts of the world really puts perspective on the experiences that we have available to us here in Canada and in particular in BC.

We are truly blessed and while I can appreciate the opportunity to make memories of flying through the Sahara Desert on an ATV, it just doesn’t come close to the trails of BC. But it’s a bucket list worth doing for sure!!

What a great day for the first ever PGATV Club’s "IFRD 2024 - ATV/UTV Style" celebrating our “Ladies in Powersports”.

A four generation family in attendance, with the youngest rider 11, and her great-grandma of 82 as a passenger!

32 ladies had a wonderful time attending the event, listening to the demos on topics related to ATVing: "Pre-Ride Inspection" and "How to Trail Fix a Punctured Tire". It was followed by a short ride on the trails of Tabor Mountain, with many draw prizes afterwards!

We all enjoyed the little bit of snow still on the trails, the mud and water puddles.

Many new “Friendships” were made!

This event was a "Success" because of our dedicated Volunteers, Attendees and our Supporters of the donated Draw Prizes!

NVATV CLUB RIDE CARD PROGRAM

The Nicola Valley ATV Club has started an innovative new Ride Card program to benefit, and attract, Club members. They have actually been successful in attracting a few new members as a result of the Ride Card initiative.

This is how our Ride Card works:

You have to be an NVATV Club member to buy our Ride Card. (Non Club riders can ride, but can not purchase a Ride Card).
The Ride Card costs $5.00 to purchase.
After you clock 8 Club rides you earn either a Club Tee-shirt or Club Ball Cap (your choice).
At each ride we sell tickets for a Prize draw at the ride. The sale of these tickets helps to offset the costs of the Tee-shirts and/or Ball Caps.
The Tee-shirt or Ball Cap is a reward to Club members for showing up to our rides. For non-Member riders, the reward is the Ride.
The Tee-shirts and Ball Caps cost about $22.00 each and their gift value, or resell value is $25.00 each.

Administration of the Ride Card program is not overly taxing. Once a Ride Card is purchased (fill in Name, ATVBC #, initial as paid), just stamp and date the Card. We also sell our Shirts and Caps at our rides, as non Club members riding with us are also very interested in these products.

We have been averaging 18-19 machines per ride with about 25-30 riders. Our total Club membership is a little over 70, and growing steadily. The Ride Card has helped us to attract new Members, although our Rides are also pretty awesome!
