Message from the Principal

SAS Family,

Thank you to PTO and our chairs for your hard work on the Holiday Harvest Boxes fundraiser. They turned out absolutely beautiful! I would also like to thank our donors and our school community for your support for this fundraiser. It takes a village and I am so grateful for the one we have. 

This Friday, December 15th at 11 am, we have the first Christmas concert featuring our tiniest friends in Preschool, TK, and Kindergarten. On Monday, December 18th, our second Christmas concert, performed by grades 1-6, will take place in the gym. All A classes will perform at 6 pm and B classes will follow at 7:15 pm. Mr. Ruperto and Mrs. Silverio have been working hard to prepare the students and I'm very excited experience the Christmas magic! We hope to see you all there.

Next week, we will celebrate Christmas week! We have special dress up days scheduled to get your students and our faculty in the Christmas spirit. We are looking forward to a festive week. Please see below for the schedule.

Finally, yesterday, Elliot Hage was "Principal for the Day" and did a great job. Elliot visited the classrooms and was able to read and play games with our younger students. He also shadowed me throughout the day to really understand the role of a principal. I think he had a great time and we loved having him. Keep this in mind when our SAS Spring Auction rolls around and bid on "Principal for the Day" for your student to have the same opportunity.

Holiday Harvest Boxes

Thanks again to our gracious donors and dedicated volunteers, especially Olivia DeLaCerda and Heidi Norswing, for making our Holiday Harvest Box fundraiser such a success. We only have 7 - St. Nick Boxes left for this last week of sales. Grab your box before they sell out completely. They look beautiful and are full of tasty treats. Perfect as a Christmas gift for the special people in your life. Boxes can be picked up in the office this week.

Gift of Scrip

If you would like to contribute to gifts of Scrip for our dedicated St. Anthony staff members and specials teachers, please fill out this form (copies in office as well) and put it with your contribution in an envelope labeled with your family's name. Drop off in the office in an envelope marked “SAS Staff Gifts.”

The gifts will be distributed to each staff member with a card that includes your families' names. Thank you in advance for all that you do.

The deadline to contribute is Tuesday, December 19th by 9:00am.

Toy Drive

Join us in spreading joy this Christmas season by supporting Catholic Charities! Help us bring smiles to children in need by donating a new, unwrapped toy.

2024-2025 Applications

Applications are open for the 2024-2025 school year. This is for new students only. If you have friends or family who are interested in St. Anthony's School, please contact our registrar, Mrs. Hutchens, at mhutchens@sasfresno.com.

Talent Show

Spelling Bee

The St. Anthony's Spelling Bee is open to 2nd-6th grade students! Please complete the survey if your child is interested.

Students will compete in a written test on January 10th in their classrooms. The winners of this event will move onto the oral spelling bee on January 19th, which will be held in our gym during the school day.

Bi-Annual Hot Lunch Order Form

This is for those who want to place orders for all hot lunches from Jan 9, 2024 until the end of the school year. Submission deadline is noon on December 20, 2023.

Dec. 15th & 18th

Our SAS students are preparing for our annual Christmas productions. Please save the date!

Preschool, TK and Kindergarten performances will be on Friday, December 15th at 11 am.

Grades 1-6 will perform on Monday, December 18th in two groups:

• All A classes perform at 6:00 pm
• All B classes perform at 7:15 pm

Both performances will take place in the gym. Dress code guidelines and more information will be sent by your child's teacher.

December 21st and 22nd

December 21st and 22nd are minimum days. PM Campus Care will not be available on Friday, December 22nd. We wish all of our families a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Snack Shack Volunteers Needed

We are looking for Snack Shack volunteers for the month of December and beyond. This is a great way to earn parent participation hours.

Yard Duty Volunteers Needed

Bundle up and head to the playground because we need your help! If you are interested in volunteering for yard duty, please sign up! This is a great way to earn parent hours, while getting an inside view of your kids' day at school.
