Hello community partners! Youth Connection is offering another TOTALLY FREE parenting class, this one designed for parents and educators of children aged up to 6 years old. Those early years can be a challenge, and Love and Logic provides simple solutions for a stress free home.

Please share this with any families that may be interested. Next, keep checking for upcoming information on another FREE Love and Logic Parenting series for all ages and stages!

Collaborators: Zero to Five FRLC, Helping Hands, Lake County SNAP-Ed MSU Flathead Extension, Providence St. Joe’s, Head Over Heels.

The 2023 Nutrition class series at Head Over Heels was a first-time success! We had 6 graduates from the class series, and 12 different people who at least came and tried it out. We had between 4-12 kids each week who participated by playing in the gym and trying the recipes we made in class.

All the participants really enjoyed this class series and greatly appreciated the opportunity that each partnering organization made possible. There was positive feedback about the classes, and participants reported eating at home more and eating out less since taking the classes, as well as reading more food labels and being more intentional about what they eat.

Providers, Join us Thursday, January 25th on zoom from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm for the HEARTS training. This transformative training is grounded in the Healthy Environments and Response to Trauma in Schools (HEARTS) framework, specially tailored for an early education audience. This training provides staff with a foundational understanding of trauma-informed practices and includes examples of strategies that can aid staff in creating a culture of belonging, improving mental health and alleviating behavior issues.
