Milstein Family Foundation Newsletter
Dear Friends,

As we enter the new calendar year, we reflect on the impact we've had on instilling pride and courage in the Jewish people, strengthening the U.S.-Israel alliance, and combating bigotry and hatred in America.

Today, antisemitism has become increasingly frequent and violent. It's not just a Jewish problem; it's an American one, too. And we pledge to continue our work to support the State of Israel and to do even more to fight against antisemitism.

This is why t he Milstein Family Foundation is proud to be supporting several organizations who have joined together to endorse a landmark report called The New Anti-Semites, which uncovers the dangerous connection between the BDS movement and antisemitism .

Also in our newsletter: we were proud to be honored at the Birthright Israel Foundation's 6th Annual Los Angeles Dinner on November 21st. Together, with over 300 guests, we raised $34 million for Birthright Israel Foundation.

We invite you to learn about Stand By Me . Under Gila's leadership, the organization provides care and services to Israeli - American cancer patients and their families in Los Angeles, making sure that no one in our community faces cancer alone. For more ways to get involved in 2020, please visit their  website .

Also, read Adam's book recommendations in Moment magazine to better understand antisemitism and how to defeat it.

Finally, we feature TPS - Israel's News Agency — an international news agency based in Israel that delivers, in real-time, accurate and reliable coverage on Israel and the Middle East. TPS reaches a global audience, distributing information to more than 180 leading media outlets around the world. Our foundation is proud to support TPS.

With sincere love and admiration for the State of Israel and the Jewish people.

Happy New Year!

Gila and Adam Milstein
Birthright Gala Honorees
Philanthropists Gila and Adam Milstein were honorees at Birthright Israel Foundation's 6th Annual Los Angeles Dinner on November 21st.

Gila and Adam addressed over 300 guests about the importance of the program. "Birthright Israel participants become connected to their Jewish identity and Israel. Many of them return as proud Jews who are willing to take a stand," Adam said.

Adam also shared what's unique about Birthright's impact. "The element of the Birthright Israel program that really captivated Gila and I is called Mifgashim, or 'the meetings,' which brings together Birthright Israel participants with young Israeli soldiers for the duration of the trip," he recalled.

"Because of Mifgashim, both the young Americans and Israelis understood that the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) aren't just defending Israel — they are defending the Jewish people, worldwide," he continued.

Stand By Me
"With a warm heart and open arms, Stand By Me is the extended family in support of its brothers and sisters on their road to recovery."

-  President, Gila Milstein

TPS - Israel's News Agency
TPS is Israel's News Agency.  TPS' coverage is reprinted in media outlets worldwide - multiplying the impact of every story.

This past April, with the generous support of the Impact Forum and the Milstein Family Foundation, TPS funded its investigative department. With this critical financial support, TPS has, in less than a year, established Israel's top investigative news department.

TPS exposed connections between Hamas in Gaza to Jeremy Corbyn's campaign - and it went  viral . TPS also revealed connections between leaders of the Bo ycott Di vestment Sa nctions movement and terror organizations, Jordan's re-opening of a mosque in the heart of the Jewish Quarter and the Palestinian Authority's  humanitarian crises caused by its decision to boycott Israeli hospitals.

TPS's 300+ volunteers are the boots-on-the-ground and first on the scene, reporting the truth from Israel. They prevent bias by getting the story right the first time.
