OUR YOUTH ARE BEATING THE ODDS
Last Friday we celebrated our seven new graduates as they walked across the stage and turned their tassels! Our youth are working hard to beat the odds and we could not be more proud. For youth in foster care, the statistics say less than 57% will graduate high school and less than 2% will continue on to college or a trade program. Every young adult in care at Place of Hope who is eligible to graduate, has graduated - since day one! We are excited to have seven more ladies hit this milestone.
This class of 2022, we had four youth graduate high school and three graduate college! We are grateful for our Graduation Sponsor Carrier for making this celebration possible and Yesenia for her words of encouragement and guidance.

Thank you to board member Pastor Todd Mullins for an inspiring keynote address full of wisdom and hope. Thank you to friend and board member, Pastor Ellis McKenzie for praying over our graduation and praying for our youth as they transition into the next step of their journey to success!

SHINING A SPOTLIGHT ON KIDS IN NEED
NEWSMAX interviewed Place of Hope Founding CEO, Charles Bender, on the plight of foster children in America and what happens after they age out of the system. Watch the full interview on you YouTube channel: @placeofhopepbg.
RISING HOUSING COSTS HURTING THOSE AGING OUT OF FOSTER CARE
Each year over 100 youth aging out of foster care locally find themselves homeless or with nowhere to go. Founding CEO of Place of Hope says, "...as a community, we can do better."

Many youth aging out of foster care need a bridge into adulthood, and they way the system is set up, that is not happening. Place of Hope's campuses in Boca and Lake Park provides a program specifically tailored to offer affordable transitional, independent living with accountability and life skills included. The sister entity, Villages of Hope, has been operating since 2006 and has grown exponentially to serve those who need it, our aging out foster youth, youth fallen through the cracks of the system and single mothers with children.

With a waiting list of those in need, Place of Hope continues to press forward on the Boca Raton campus and has plans for the newly inherited Stuart campus. Learn more about these expansions by emailing CharlesB@placeofhope.com.
