We had a big week in Marana, after lots of planning and a lot of teamwork we hosted the first live Crop Science Town Hall of 2023 during our first quarter. There were also plenty of visitors from the Executive Leadership Team who took their first tour of the greenhouse including Rodrigo Santos President of the Crop Science Division and Tom Armitage Head of Crop Science Communications just to name a couple.
The town hall was a hit and all-around success, we had the opportunity to showcase some of the amazing work that we do in Marana every day. Rodrigo talked about the innovative work done in 2022 and what’s ahead for 2023.
Other speakers included Kelly Gast, who gave us the financials, Bob Reiter had details about Research and Development (R&D) and Dr. Jeremy Williams talked about the impact of Climate/Digital Farming. Our Bayer Marana Product Development Center Site Lead Edson Kemper and Pac-West Regional Nursery Design and Strategy Lead April Agee Carroll shared wonderful highlights about Precision Breeding and the R&D we do for Crop Science.
We want to thank everyone who participated and helped to make the event happen. The visiting leadership team also held a Q&A session with staff to talk about opportunities to grow within the company.
More than 3,500 colleagues from around the world attended the town hall online.
