Golfing Bonds: a tee-riffic journey of dads and daughters at Golf in Society


As Scotland started to emerge from the first Covid19 lockdown, two daughters Nikki and Anjali learned about Golf in Society and separately approached us about the prospect of their dads commencing our supported golf sessions.


They both believed it would be a wonderful way for their fathers to continue enjoying their passion for golf alongside like minded people in a dementia friendly environment.

As with all things in life, it’s all about people. And for us we’re eternally grateful to Russell Smith General Manager at Golf IT! alongside the wonderful Alyson Mckechin PGA pro/Head of Golf. Together they’ve been pivotal in helping us set up our brand-new supported golf session at the flagship Golf IT! in the north east of Glasgow which opened its doors to the public on August 5th 2023.
