ArcReach
® Technology Standard On Trailblazer
®
In 2020!

Miller Electric is excited to announce that
ArcReach® Technology
will be standard on most Trailblazer 325® gas and diesel models starting January 1, 2020, and pricing will not change with this update! ArcReach® allows the welder to change weld settings from an ArcReach® feeder or remote, without the use of a control cord. This saves trips back to the power source resulting in more arc-on time, greater productivity and a safer job site. There will be new part numbers for these models, so make sure to consult your Airweld sales representative or counter sales person and place your order after January 1.
This feature will not be available on LP or battery charger models.

Our question this month comes from Edward R. of Brooklyn. He asks:
Dear Answerman: I need to obtain a Certificate of Conformance for 7018 welding rod that I purchased. What is it and where may I get this?
Dear Edward: A Certificate of Conformance, commonly referred to as a "cert", is a document that manufacturers generate for their welding consumables. It lists the chemical analysis and mechanical properties and shows that the electrodes and filler metals are made to AWS specifications and standards. These are documented by manufacturer's part number and production batch/lot number. That information may be found on the label of the can or carton. Here are links to the three major manufacturer's web pages where certs may be obtained:
Make sure you have the part number and batch/lot number handy before visiting the sites to save time. Of course, you may always call your local Airweld/Atlantic Welding/Bronx Welding branch for assistance on this.

Juan Rodriguez was working at Macy's warehouse. The job was okay but this very personable young man wanted to interface with customers. He heard about an opening at Airweld from a friend and three years later loves connecting with customers at Airweld's Maspeth Branch. "I really enjoy seeing the smiles on our customer's faces when they leave the store," Juan beamed. "It means that we've exceeded their expectations and made them happy," he added. He said he really enjoys the training and support that Airweld offers its staff. This doting father of a 1-1/2 year old son enjoys video games like "Call of Duty" and is an avid fisherman out of Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn.
