Peter
Zimmermann is the Master of Whisky for the Diageo North America
branch located in Massachusetts. He has studied with many of the
world's top Master Distillers and has completed Malt Advocate
courses at several distilleries in Scotland and
Ireland.
Peter
has built his career in the food and beverage industry. In Chicago,
he worked as the beverage manager in "Top Chef" Tony Mantuano's
acclaimed Tuttaposto. He also became a tasting panelist at
the Beverage Testing Institute, where he discovered his passion for
the world's most exceptional whiskies.
Peter will be leading our class on "single malts" (Scotch that has
been distilled at a single distillery, entirely from malted
barley).To learn more about the origins of Scotch whisky, as well
as to experience some of the finest products available, please join
us on Tuesday,
October 12th.

Cardhu, 12 Year Old

Smooth, sweet
and mellow, this Speyside dram is well balanced with hints of pear,
straw
and honey.

Cragganmore,
12 Year Old
From
Speyside, Cragganmore has one of the most complex
finishes in Scotland.
Sandalwood, smoke and baking spice engage the
senses, as the warmth of this spirit
grows.

Dalwhinnie,
15 Year Old
The taste
is light with a fruity,
sweet aroma. An aromatic malt, very easy to drink.

Glenkinchie,
12 Year Old
This
classic lowland whisky is soft and floral with grassy, lemony notes
and plenty of toasty malt.

Lagavulin,
16 Year Old
Lagavulin concentrates the flavors of
smoke and combines them with amazing flavors of
ripe fruit.

Oban,
14 Year Old

This is a medium bodied, well
balanced whisky with aromas of oranges and honey.
|
The
Singleton, 12 Year Old
This is a "double wood" matured whisky
that has balance and the flavors of vanilla, spice and
dried fruits.

Talisker,
10 Year Old
From the Isle of Skye, this whisky brings
pepper, peat and the sea into the bottle. It offers amazing
aromas.
