PARTNER FOCUS

Our Partner Focus for Aug/September is The Norwalk Partnership.


We want to highlight this community coalition for the substance abuse prevention and education work they are doing for the youth of Norwalk. They manage the administration of The Youth Survey, which is coming up this fall, and play an integral role on our Social Emotional Health Steering Committee and lead the organizing of Norwalk's Teens Night Out events.

The selected awardees will not only be honored at a special celebration on October 17th, 2024, at the Norwalk Inn in Norwalk, CT, but will also gain recognition for their impactful work in promoting inclusivity.

Governor Lamont Issues Executive Order 24-2


Creates the Office of Equity and Opportunity as well as hire a Chief Equity and Opportunity Officer.

The Connecticut Cradle to Career Coalition’s advocacy and collaborative efforts have supported the passage of notable accomplishments over the years that advance equity and economic mobility for children and youth.


We approach our policy work with awareness of the historical context of racial inequities in our state as well as childhood adversity within our communities, both individual and collective.

C2C Coalition establishes a Policy & Advocacy Subcommittee


The Connecticut Cradle to Career Coalition is establishing a Policy & Advocacy Subcommittee which will include residents from each local community to share in the work and ensure comprehensive representation in the process.

Our Community Advocates, who expand and strengthen our outreach, have been very busy engaging with residents at summer events including the Norwalk Community Health Center Farmer’s Market, every Wednesday. They are keeping families supported and connected by sharing Early Childhood Development information and resources.


Our team has grown substantially over the years. It is the result of lifting up community leaders from our strategic engagement efforts. We honor them on our website for their contribution to our systems change work.

We have paused our College & Workforce Readiness Newsletter. Updated Workforce related info can be found on our website.


Last month, 11 students from Norwalk schools participated in the Trades & Skilled Labor Bootcamp held at Connecticut Community College Norwalk.


The Bootcamp organizing group will continue its support for local students and look forward to hosting the next Bootcamp in January, 2025. Contact Bootcamp Organizers for more info here
