Our Assistant Regional Superintendent is a West Aurora Challenge Coin Recipient!


On Monday, February 5th, Dr. Deanna Oliver, received a West Aurora Challenge Coin. This special award is presented to inspiring individuals who make a positive impact in the School District 129 community.


According to West Aurora's Superintendent Dr. Jeff Craig, the West Aurora Challenge Coin "was meant to instill pride, honor a person for a special achievement, or acknowledge outstanding performance over time. It is a symbol of respect."

New Mural at the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center


Recently, artist and educator Catherine Tilley completed the latest mural project at the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center. She offered guidance to students throughout the painting process, providing them with helpful tips to enhance their artistic abilities.


Murals have the power to make spaces more vibrant, engaging, and inspiring. We are excited to bring more to the JJC in the future!

AA#1778: The Use of Restorative Practices

in Schools


This course teaches effective classroom/school management strategies and appropriate disciplinary methods that promote positive school environments.

Participants will be introduced to Restorative Practices, which include interventions for harm, conflict prevention through community-building, safety, and social responsibility. They will learn informal and formal practices like restorative questions, pro-active circles, and conferences to develop discipline plans based on these principles.
