Check Your Points

As the spring and summer show season ramps up, we're excited for the start of some warmer weather and outdoor shows!

Serin and Alyssa have been visiting local shows to talk with members and provide free coffee and donuts. We want to hear your feedback and ideas for how OHJA can make a difference. Please share your thoughts by filling out the

OHJA 2024 Survey

OHJA's biggest limiter is human bandwidth; there are only so many hours in the day! The more volunteers we have, the more we can accomplish. Volunteers can help with running events, fundraising, or even behind the scenes. Volunteering for OHJA also opens access to several funds that help provide opportunities for education and competing.

Lastly, make sure to sign up for our annual OHJA Equitation Challenge at The Oregon Trail horse show! This multi-phase class pits juniors vs amateurs vs pros in an epic elimination class that is entertaining for both riders and spectators.

OHJA Equitation Challenge

Saturday, June 15 @ The Oregon Trail

This is a flat class open to riders of all levels. Round 1 is divided into a separate junior class, an amateur class, and a pro class. The top placing riders from each class are invited back to compete against one another in the final flat round. In this final, riders are tested on the flat and called into the middle as they are eliminated. The class gets progressively harder until there is only 1 rider remaining.

OHJA Members Events @ Hunter Creek

Stop by Hunter Creek to check out our OHJA Welcome Tent! We'll have music, lounge chairs, free snacks and drinks, & activities.

We're kicking off the summer with a wine and charcuterie reception during the equitation challenge! The reception is free for all but donations are welcomed from non-members.
