Spring into ???
Greetings!

This is surreal. It's not normal. It's unlike anything any of us have lived through. So I share with you one of the most "grounding", comforting pieces of poetry I have ever known. Back after September 11, 2001, I was working for a land trust-- so it was natural that we all headed outdoors. But what was so different: because the skies were quiet, we heard "the peace of wild things" all around us. I urge you to get outside.
Check out my current clients!
Making the most of this time
For many non-profits, programs are on hold, events cancelled, and a sense of "what now" is taking over. Perhaps because of my background, I think of this as an opportunity to look inward a bit: review those policies (or write them) , think about the next couple of years' goals and how to meet them.

I am available for conference calls and/or webinars for your board and senior staff: a review of your financials, a training on budgets, or perhaps a conversation about what policies you should have in place. Shoot me an email if you want to discuss the possibilities. (And I come with my own Zoom account, so no worries about technology!)
Wendell Berry
When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
