Arts Council Greater Lansing announces a call to artist members for its annual Art in the Sky Billboard Program. This juried digital billboard project for 2020/2021 is now open. Six artist's works will be selected and featured on Adam's Outdoor Advertising digital billboards in and around the Greater Lansing region beginning in December and throughout next year. Allen Neighborhood Center is in search of qualified artists to submit proposals for a mural to be placed on the east wall of the new Kircher Complex at 1600 E. Kalamazoo St. This mural will act as the backdrop to the newly constructed Allen Place Solar Courtyard. Application deadline is Nov. 6, 2020. Learn more.
Michigan Ceramics 2020 Biennial Exhibition and Competition is accepting submissions to its juried exhibition of sculptural ceramics, functional ceramics and ceramic vessel works. Submissions from Michigan residents and all MCAA members, regardless of state of residence will be accepted. Application deadline is Sept. 11, 2020. Learn more.
Family Harvest Festival in Sunfield, Michigan is seeking artists and crafters for this live Halloween-themed event that will include arts and crafts, food trucks, contests, games trick-or-treating and more. Midwest RAD Fest of Midwest Regional Alternative Dance is accepting submissions for the 2021 virtual festival being held on March 5- 7. RAD Fest is hosted and supported by Southwest Michigan's oldest professional dance company, Wellspring/Cori Terry & Dancers. The festival is a juried event at the Epic Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan, featuring the best in modern, post-modern and contemporary dance from all over the country. Arc Gallery of Chicago announces a call to artists for their exhibition "Unmasked: Portraiture in a Pandemic." In this time of isolation and confinement, when we can often see only a portion of another’s face, this juried exhibition was created to celebrate faces – and the people behind them. It will also seek to examine the ways in which people mask themselves or masquerade. They are looking to define this genre as broadly as possible: self, other, representational, abstracted, likeness, current, past, psychological, emotional and beyond. "Embracing Our Differences" invites you to participate in its annual international outdoor juried art exhibit, featuring 50 billboard-size images measuring 16 ft. wide by 12.5 ft. high and reflecting the theme "enriching lives through diversity and inclusion."
The 2021 exhibit will be on display Jan. 20 through April 1, 2021, at Bayfront Park in downtown Sarasota, Florida. Since 2004, the exhibit has hosted over 3.3 million visitors, in addition to 397,000 students via their education programs, for a very unique opportunity to experience the importance of diversity and inclusion in all our lives. Winning Writers announces its 18th Annual Tom Howard/Margaret Reid Poetry Contest. Poets may submit poems on any theme, up to 250 lines each. Poems must be written in English. Published and unpublished works accepted. Up to $8,000 in prizes. Application deadline is Sept. 30, 2020. Learn more.

Slowart Productions announces Emerging Artists the 29th annual competition for gallery exhibition and publication awards. This exhibition is devoted to the discovery, introduction and promotion of emerging artists. It will be held March 4-27, 2021, at the Limner Gallery and is open to all artists working in any media.
