Last month we celebrated the ribbon cutting of two new buildings with co-developer The John Stewart Company, officials from the City and County of San Francisco, and public- and private-sector partners. Located near The Embarcadero, Broadway Cove and 735 Davis provide 178 affordable homes for families and seniors.

Mayor Pauline Cutter and city officials joined La Plazita and BRIDGE to celebrate the opening of La Plazita Preschool and Infant Center, located in BRIDGE’s Marea Alta family affordable housing community across the street from the San Leandro BART Station. The center serves 65 children, caring for and preparing them for Kindergarten through a multicultural, Spanish-immersion approach.

With co-developer TCC Family Health, we were thrilled to break ground in November on a mixed-use, multi-generational property in Long Beach’s Cambodia Town neighborhood. The development will include an 18,000 sq. ft. community health and wellness center on the ground floor and 88 affordable apartments above.

We’re proud to team up with Sunrun to mark the completion of a new solar installation at Cottonwood Creek in Suisun City, CA. The solar project provides nearly $47 per month in bill savings for Cottonwood’s 94 resident households via virtual net metering, along with job training in the rapidly growing clean energy sector.

BRIDGE recently received a generous grant from Wells Fargo to support rental relief efforts for families with low incomes who have been impacted by COVID-19. The funding will help residents stay in their homes, promoting housing and economic stability and family wellbeing. Thank you, Wells Fargo!

Last month, the Sound Transit Board approved key transaction terms with BRIDGE and partners Essex Property Trust and Touchstone/Urban Renaissance to build almost seven acres of transit-oriented development in Bellevue, WA.
