La Vista residents: It's time to claim your tickets!

La Vista residents have early access to free tickets for the La Vista Days concert at The Astro Amphitheater on Friday, May 31.


Claim your tickets today! Visit LaVistaDays.org/tickets and enter the early access code found in the Viewpoints quarterly newsletter that was mailed to all La Vista residents recently. (Please note, the QR code in the newsletter is not working. Please use the link LaVistaDays.org/tickets to reach the ticketing site.)


The access code will be required to claim tickets through May 18. After that, tickets will be available for non-residents to claim.


While this is a free concert, tickets are required for entry to The Astro Amphitheater.

Officially amazing

La Vista resident Jake Albanez was honored at the City Council meeting this week for a unique achievement. He recently earned a Guinness World Record!


Watch for Jake in the La Vista Days parade and give him a congratulatory cheer when he passes by!

La Vista's got talent

Omaha Mobile Stage will be bringing its youth talent show back to La Vista Days on Saturday, June 1. And this year it is moving to the festival’s larger main stage!


The talent competition is for ages 3 through graduating high school seniors. Participation is free.

Gather to remember and honor local heroes

La Vista's Hometown Heroes Ceremony will be Thursday, May 23 at 6 p.m. outside City Hall.


Members of American Legion Post 32, Papillion-La Vista High School musicians, guest speakers, La Vista Police and Mayor Douglas Kindig will be in attendance to celebrate the legacy of the fallen.

A well-deserved honor

Detective Josh McNeil was recently honored as the Sarpy County Crime Stoppers Officer of the Year for La Vista.



Detective McNeil was the lead Detective investigating a robbery and kidnapping of a victim in La Vista. His diligent police work and coordination with other agencies led to the arrest of four suspects and the recovery of a large amount of stolen property.


La Vista is extremely proud of Detective McNeil and all his hard work.

A day of fun and games

A team from the La Vista Senior Program competed in the Sarpy County Senior Olympics this week. The event, hosted in partnership by Papillion's 55+ Club and the La Vista Senior Program, was held at Papillion Landing.


La Vista's team earned second place and many individual medals at the games!
