Designed to be given directly to inquiring buyers, NAR’s consumer guide is an ongoing campaign to help members bring clarity to the practice changes for consumers.

NAR research shows that 91% of New Jersey real estate agents are independent contractors. These rights and classifications promote entrepreneurship, autonomy, and flexibility to meet the needs of consumers, which is why NAR is eager to see them codified at a federal level.

REALTORS® are urging Congress to align the FLSA with the IRC and cosponsor H.R. 5419, the Direct Seller and Real Estate Agent Harmonization Act, to ensure real estate professionals can continue operating their businesses without conflicting statutes and regulations.
