Air Quality Monitoring Website is Live
Earlier this year, the Valero Benicia Refinery activated our Air Quality Monitoring Website to keep the community informed on air quality in Benicia.

Visit BeniciaRefineryAirMonitors.org to view near real time data from active ground level monitors (GLMs) and fenceline monitors, as well as helpful FAQs.
Valero Collaborates on EMS Training
The Valero Benicia Refinery recently collaborated with the Benicia Fire Department and CalStar Air Medical Services on three joint training sessions. These trainings are designed to enhance rescuer knowledge and better coordinate efforts on the ground to safely land aircraft and assist air ambulance crews.

Fire Chief Josh Chadwick said, “these exercises promote teamwork and coordination, which are key to providing safe and efficient advanced medical care to our community”.

Zepeda Awarded Chief's Challenge Coin
Congratulations to Valero employee Danny Zepeda who recently received the Chief's Challenge Coin from Police Chief Upson. Danny was at a coffee shop when he witnessed a laptop robbery. He quickly intervened and was able to retrieve the laptop.

The Challenge Coin is "an award only given to those who are truly deserving" according to the Benicia Police Department. "Community members like Danny truly make this city better."
