This comprehensive Basic Life Support and First Aid course is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively in emergency situations. The course focuses on enabling individuals to confidently identify and manage unconscious casualties, ensuring their safety until professional help arrives.


Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  2. Manage an unconscious casualty

  4. Perform effective Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

The Florida Division of Early Learning has partnered with Teachstone to provide free professional learning opportunities for Florida’s early learning professionals. This training is geared to early learning teachers, coaches and leaders to enhance understanding of how interactions between children and adults lead to better child outcomes.

Program Assessment Reflection (PAR) and

Child Assessment Reflection (CAR)

Have you had an opportunity to reflect on results from the School Readiness and VPK program assessment (CLASS®) or the VPK child assessment (FAST)? The Division of Early Learning (DEL) now offers opportunities for educators to gather and reflect, ask questions, discuss successes and share concerns in a virtual reflection platform. Educators may register for any of the following Program Assessment Reflection (PAR) and Child Assessment Reflection (CAR) offerings listed in the CAR and PAR calendar. Registration is required.

All the Way with VPK: Training for VPK Teachers

 

Florida Statutes 1002.55 and 1002.63 F.S., require that both public school and private provider VPK instructors complete the Early Learning Standards and three 5-hour emergent literacy courses.

The following Division of Early Learning (DEL) training sessions meet the course requirement for the Early Learning and Developmental Standards and are offered online, virtually and in-person.

The Coordinated Screening and Progress Monitoring Program is the statewide, standardized program known as Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) Star Early Literacy implemented in all VPK programs as required by s. 1002.68, F.S

FAST TRAINING


VPK programs are required to have a qualified test administrator administer the assessment to students. Training must be completed yearly.


Required training is available through Renaissance-U: FAST Star Early Literacy Renaissance-U Enrollment Guidance (PDF) (Updated 10/24/23).
