FirstDay, the JSU Bookstore, and Canvas

The JSU Bookstore administers the FirstDay program at JSU whereby students access their eTextbooks. If you are teaching a course with eTextbooks associated with the course via FirstDay, you (faculty) must enable the FirstDay Course Materials link in the Canvas course's navigation menu. (Click on the accordion tab titled First Day Program at the JSU Bookstore - eTextbooks).

This be done for two reasons:

  • Students can only access the eTextbooks via the FirstDay Course Materials navigation menu link, AND
  • Students must be given an opportunity to opt out of the program to receive an eTextbook refund.

If you or your students experience issues accessing eTextbooks via the FirstDay navigation menu link in Canvas, please contact the Bookstore for assistance.
