One Health Legislative Bill Introduced to Congress
Dear One Health Community:

Yesterday Senator Franken, Minnesota, introduced the S. 2634 One Health Legislative Bill of 2016 to Congress. You can view his press release here:
http://www.franken.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=3385

and the GovTrac.us post here:     https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/114/s2634

This bill was assigned to a congressional committee which will consider it before possibly sending it on to the House or Senate as a whole.

Many of you will know that last February 2015, Senator Franken and 6 other Senators sent a Congressional One Health letter to the White House urging the President to create both National and U.N. One Health platforms. Many of you also signed on in support of the One Health Commission's follow-up letter to the White House in support of the Senators call but which went a step further by suggesting just what these national and international One Health platforms might look like.

The One Health Community is now free to become vocal in support of this Bill.

Warmly,

Cheryl and the One Health Commission Board of Directors
