The little village of Fain-les-moutiers, where Saint Catherine Labouré was born, is roughly 50 miles from the towns where Sts. Bernard and Jane Frances de Chantal were born and raised -- and approximately 100 miles from Paray-le-Monial, where Jesus revealed His Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary.

In June's inSPIRE, we asked how you were going to spend your Father’s Day. Everyone who responded said they were going to participate in the Mass via TV or livestream. Fifty percent would: meditate on all the times God brought joy or healing unexpectedly; focus on your identity as God's child; pray an Our Father for every year of your life; spend time in quiet prayer; and do a kind act for your dad or parish priest.
One respondent said she’d be “praying for the souls of my husband and my father and father-in-law. ... I lost my husband this year and my children lost their father. He was the best husband, father and grandfather who ever lived. Missed and loved by all.” Let’s pray for our sister in Christ and her entire family, that our Blessed Mother will be with them in a special way and help alleviate the pain from their loss.

In 1933, Fr. Skelly wrote that “
Those invested in the [Miraculous] Medal can gain 300 days’ Indulgence each time that, with a contrite heart, they recite the invocation: ’O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.’ (Jan. 30, 1930)
“In March 1915, the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal was established to help carry out the idea expressed by Blessed Catherine when her director handed her the first Medal. ‘Now it must be propagated,’ she said. …
“So today, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal has a business house
devoted entirely to the propagation of her Medal. From this office literature, booklets, Medals, prayer pictures and even a quarterly magazine are sent to thousands of homes to spread far and wide devotion to Mary Immaculate. The many activities of the Association are supported by the small membership, yearly or perpetual, of those who wish to
share in the spiritual benefits of this work in honor of our Blessed Mother.”
Fr. Skelly's words are just as true today as they were 87 years ago.
